Queensbury Senior Citizens was first established in 1980. Thirty seven years ago a
number of senior citizens in the town of Queensbury had a vision that included a
meeting place for their mutual enjoyment and an expansion of senior services
prompted by Queensbury resident Arthur Turnbull. On March 7th 1980 a group of
more then 100 like-minded seniors met at the Town Hall to discuss their future as a
viable organization. The vibrant organization we are today came about through the
evolution of this grass roots effort. We count on our volunteers who contribute their
time and talents to making QSC what it is and are grateful for the support we have from
the Town of Queensbury which provides us housing and partial funding.
See the chart and descriptions below to get a better picture of QSC and it's
mission. We are incorpoated as a Non-Profit 501-C3 organization.
